Trimester

Although the Trimester may not affect many people in our class, I'm sure someone has a younger sibling:

Videos for the Calculus Phobe

We may be well past some of the concepts in these videos, but it is always good to review and reinforce ideas.

Check This Out

This site is still under development (I hope), but the topics that are addressed are presented nicely. http://www.math.ucdavis.edu/~kouba/ProblemsList.html

The examples of integration are pretty good! For the limit definition examples, they show that the limit is the same with a couple of different indexing techniques. We know that should be the case because it won't matter which side the x(sub)i is on as n goes to infinity.

The limit will be the same, so pick whichever method is easiest for you.

Hey Calculus BC:
Could you send this to Chris for the AB blog or include me as a contributor on it?
Thanks!

AC Calculus AB credit

I signed up for the AC credit, and now I'm too cheap to pay for it I don't want to do it anymore... Does anyone know if I can cancel it, or if there is some kinda penalty charge if I do or anything? I really don't want to call UMSL to ask.
Not paying the bill isn't really an option, because I want credit for the other two classes I signed up for.

EDIT: Anyone who is interested in dropping AC credit, call the Advanced Credit people at (314) 516-7005. They gave me an e-mail to send my request to. You have until Nov. 1st.
Hopefully the AP exam won't be too bad!

Calculus Links

There are alot of really nice demonstrations on a website called "Visual Calculus" The table of contents is here: http://homepages.roadrunner.com/askmrcalculus/VisCalc.html Check out Integration and Reimann sums for chapter 4 stuff that we've learned so far.

Also, there's a great resource available at morenet: http://www.more.net/about/announcements/2007091201.html Click on "learning express library" I created a user name "mathrules" with password "learnmoremath" :D

There's practice for AP exams, ACT, etc. Let me know if you have any trouble accessing it from home.
